Set the Mood

Set the Mood, a series by the DJ collective Oefenmeesters from Utrecht, aims to capture the beauty and artistry behind the opening sets. This series features a diverse range of DJs, each bringing their unique perspective on what makes the perfect start to a night out.  For this mix series, I’ve collaborated with the collective to bring a visual component that complements the music. For the first part of the series, I contributed archival photographs from my personal collection, which span from 2018 to the present and were taken across various parts of the world. These images, once floating aimlessly in the vast expanse of the online world, now serve a new purpose. Each photo is paired with a set of four, creating entirely new compositions that harmonize with the music from the different DJs featured in the Oefenmeesters Set the Mood series.
